Seattle Seahawks Fever   [back to top]

This song was written for the fan spirit and support to the Seattle Seahawks during their rise to the Superbowl XL 2006. Lyrics and vocals by Anthony Allen. Instruments played, recorded, mixed & mastered by Don @ Little Pacific Studios © 2006.

On Saturday, January 28, 2006, Anythony Allen contacted me about recording a song he had written for the Seattle Seahawks football team. Anthony came to the studio and sang his words and played out the melody on the synthesizer. I helped him arrange his ideas and added in the instrumentation that I thought he was looking for. We are both very excited to share this song to all the Seattle Seahawk fans alike for free. "Seahawk Fever" will remain on this website available for free download indefinitely. Catch the fever of the Seattle Seahawks! GO HAWKS!

It's A New Day (A Day To Forgive)   [back to top]

This song was a different incarnation of "Oasis" with words. I recorded it in October 2005 but got it mixed and mastered the weekend of February 18, 2006. This song is about putting your past behind, forgiving others and forgiving yourself and beginning to live your life the way you've always dreamed. It is a realization that God will treat you as you treat others. Church and works on Sunday are worthless if you put aside treating people good on a daily basis.

Lyrics
It's a new day. The past is gone. Time to let go. Time to move on. It's a new day and you don't have to stay the same. God forgives.... people, peoplecan change. You can change. I can change...today. It's a new day. A day to forgive. Put it behind, and finally begin to live. You know He will treat you just like you do.... in the new....

Oasis   [back to top]

This song is a thinking song. There are no words to this tune. I wrote this song for Charlene Lease. She was at a low point in her life and I used to write her and send music to her. I was at a low point in my life and she used to write me letters and make me feel good about life. She died at the age of 28. I was amazed at how a person never knows when he or she will enter eternity. I am thankful that I was a good Friend to her when there were none to be found for her.

This song was recorded at another studio and was edited and digitally re-mastered at Little Pacific when I had my entry-level gear.

Pushed Away   [back to top]

This song is about how you can spend your life getting caught up in temporary wealth and forget about the more important aspects of your life.

This song was recorded by another studio and was edited and digitally re-mastered at Little Pacific when I had my entry-level gear.

Lyrics
What a tragedy when you find what you wanted Finally drifts away And all you ever needed stands right before your face When all you ever really wanted finally turns to sand Another lifetime spent pushing away away His hands You pushed Him away How He wanted to share in your laughter and hold you through the tears Watching you grow as you've grown through the years I know you're a busy man and you hadn't time at'all And know your life is end'in and your surely going to fall And all you ever really wanted is turn'in back to sand Another life time spent push'in away His hands And even though it breaks His heart He'll push you away You pushed Him away You pushed Him You pushed Him It was you who pushed Him

Mustard Seed Faith   [back to top]

This song is about having the faith of a small child. It has been my dream to get you my music for it seems like a lifetime. All the politics in the music business can really wear a person down. This song is about having the faith of a mustard seed and just carrying on in your dreams with the simple faith of a child. My daughter came to Washington to visit with me in 1998 when she was 5 years old. I was in an apartment at the time still buying gear for the studio piece by piece with the help of Dan Helling. I miked her up and said, "Becca, say Daddy play some rocknroll."

I recorded everything but the drums and the vocals at Little Pacific Studios.

Lyrics:
Daddy let's play some rock'nroll, nanana nana Daddy try to play some rock'nroll naaaa Take me to the mountain, Lord - set me free Give me the faith of mustard seed Take me to the mountain, take my baby too- take my baby too

(chorus) Lord take this mountain in me, Uproot it and cast it to the sea Lord Jesus turn it to sand I got mustard seed faith I believe in you I know you can

Take me to the mountain I got faith I want to let it go - let it go I wanna show this whole wide world oh, you can rock you can roll

(chorus)

Oh I---- believe

Got to turn this… turn it around I'm sick of falling down My faith is going up my fear's going down Mountain you are… mountain, mountain in me You say I'm bound But my savior says I'm free

Mountain you are sand I got mustard seed faith I believe I-I I'll rock this land Daddy let's play some rocknroll nanana nana

Change  [back to top]

This song is about a person who at the beginning you think is asking for money. The truth is he is asking for a change in his life. The person he is approaching for help is actually Jesus, although he does not know this until the end of the song. I wrote this about myself because of things I was going through at that time in my life. I had not yet met my future wife, Annette and had experienced a lot a pain in the dating world. I knew I needed change in my life to be able to love others and myself in a healthy way.

The entire recording of this song was done at another studio. It was the first song I prayed about before ever recording the first track. It was completed in about nine hours. I went in the studio with the acoustic work and the lyrics and played out the rest in the studio. It was the only song done in the 10 years of going to outside studios where I was somewhat satisfied with the quality of recording.

Lyrics
Say, Mister You think you might spare some change? I'm broke and I really could use some change You see I, I've reached a road I Can't seem to pass Think I mighta, mighta heard you prayin' Thank you Father at last…

And I--- I never could, ever could Reach that junction High were the walls of All my dysfunction And there I was Crying Broken down In all my shame Searching for a glimmer of love in my life All I found is pain My pain

Say Mister, I really wish I could change

Child I--- I know that road All too well I'm a traveler way down from heaven To save this world from Hell And there I was Crying Broken down In all this shame Gave my life as a ransom For as many who'd believe I'd free their pain

Say Mister Say Mister I'll take away your pain Say Mister I'll take it away Say Mister Do you want change?

Say Jesus Take it away

Do you want change?

Say Jesus…

Prodigal Son  [back to top]

This song is about driving alone down the freeway thinking to yourself. Thinking about past choices made and how they have effected you. The choices you thought were no big deal were the choices that were in reality making you cold. The Prodigal Son is a story in the bible about a man being led away from God by foolish choices. He returns home after hitting an all time low amazed to find God is extremely happy he has returned to his rightful place. The moral of the story in the bible is wherever you are God will forgive you. He wants you to have a terrific life. He wants you to have a beautiful family surrounded by caring friends with a nice career. The only thing is you have to make the right choices in your life to get you there. I was not making the right choices at the time of this tune. I needed to realize sin = cold.

This song was mostly done by Little Pacific studios. The drums were tracked at another studio. I then came back home and took all the tracks and mixed them.

Lyrics
I was making my way I had a lot on my mind. Just another cold day south bound on I-5. Ooooo I was all alone, In this I tell you true. An running through my mind , just what is this world trying to do? Is it trying to make me cold? Is it trying to bring me down? Lord I should of known where sin is coldness abounds.. And I was feeling…

Oh I seem to have lost my way driving down the wrong roads living that way. Feeling cold feeling down watching my days spinning around and around and around and around…..
